These terms cover your use of taaldus.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Who runs this site
Taaldus is built and run by a single individual based in Spain, not a registered company. It is an independent, unofficial study aid and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Dutch government, IND, DUO, or any official examining body.
What Taaldus offers
- The de/het quiz, verb quiz, BIB exam guide, and the free daily guest BIB speaking sample: free, no account needed.
- BIB speaking practice with AI-generated feedback: free, but requires creating an account.
Not an official resource
Taaldus is practice material only. It is not an official resource, and using it (including any AI-generated feedback or score) is not a guarantee that you will pass the real BIB exam or any other official assessment. AI feedback is automated and can be wrong or incomplete; treat it as practice guidance, not an authoritative judgment of your Dutch level.
Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You agree to provide a working email address and to keep your password confidential; you're responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person. Don't create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse, scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the site or its backend service.
- Abuse the free AI grading feature, for example by submitting spam or repeated nonsense answers purely to consume grading capacity.
- Submit unlawful, abusive, or someone else's personal data as your answer text.
- Resell, redistribute, or republish site content (question text, grammar guides, quiz data) in bulk.
As described in the Privacy Policy, we can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.
AI-generated content
Feedback and scores for BIB speaking answers are generated automatically by a third-party AI model (see the Privacy Policy for which provider). This is an automated estimate, not a professional, legal, or official educational assessment.
Intellectual property
The site's content (quiz questions, grammar guides, and other material) belongs to the operator or its licensors. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial study. Don't copy, republish, or resell it in bulk.
Third-party services
Taaldus relies on third-party providers (currently Supabase, Cloudflare, and Google Gemini) to run the site and grade BIB answers. See the Privacy Policy for details on what each one sees and does.
No warranty
Taaldus is provided "as is" and "as available," with no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. It's a solo-maintained project and may have bugs, downtime, or occasional incorrect content.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including exam outcomes, lost study time, or data loss beyond what's described in the Privacy Policy. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't legally be limited, or affects your statutory rights as an EU consumer.
Termination
You can stop using the site or delete your account at any time from your Account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, as described above.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we do, we'll update the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections you're entitled to under the law of your own EU country of residence.
