About Taaldus

I'm a Dutch language teacher, and Taaldus grew out of watching students hit the same walls over and over: guessing de or het, tripping over verb conjugations, and scrambling to find decent, focused practice material for the BIB civic integration exam. Most of what's out there is either scattered across forums, locked behind a paywall, or not built for actual repetition. I wanted something free, simple, and made specifically for the exam and the grammar people actually struggle with, so I built it myself.

Taaldus is three tools in one place: a de/het quiz and a verb conjugation quiz, both using spaced repetition (Leitner) so you keep seeing the words and forms you get wrong until they stick, and BIB exam practice covering the speaking portion (with AI feedback on your spoken answers) and the knowledge-of-Dutch-society (KNS) questions.

It's a solo project, actively maintained, and free to use. Taaldus isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the Dutch government, IND, DUO, or any official examining body; it's an independent study aid built from the teaching side of the exam, not an official one.
